Mandatory field trip for New Zealand botany class? Can't say no to that. We spent the day on the Leith saddle track identifying trees and ferns as we ascended into the cloud forest. We had some unexpected rain storms stir up at the summit and had a muddy slide back down but all in all it was a successful and exciting trip with some beautiful views!
